I've been here multiple times as a child and with friends but over the years you pay more and get less food. The quality is the same the food is good but why pay a pretty penny for not as much. I came here today and ordered chicken tenders and got the smallest four pieces, whimpy. Not worth $13 with fries and coleslaw. It was tasty but the bang for my buck wasn't there. Overall, I wasn't impressed. I'll try my luck next summer.
Great food, great setting, lovely staff
I've always enjoyed lunch at Gooseboro Drive-In. Nothing fancy just good food made for you. If you want immediate fast food, drive 10 miles to closest McDonald's. They are closed now for the winter and will reopen in April. I wait all winter for one of their cheeseburgers.
It is standard burger shack food, but more expensive than what I would otherwise expect. Yes, volume of business I'm sure drives the pricing decision, but even so, it prevents me from making a stop here routine.
Stopped in for lunch. My wife had the vege burger and said it was very good. My granddaughter had chicken nuggets and dries. I had the clam roll. They were ok but a little chewy. Not sure if they were not fresh or just not good quality. Server was pleasant.
